 In Leeuwarden woonde een vriend van mij, we gingen samen naar het centrum om wat te kijken en te shoppen, waar ik dus de lp van John zag liggen, volgens mij zijn debuut lp, als lead zanger van de band The Babys, vond ik zijn stem al helemaal geweldig....

Dus deze lp werd gekocht en gedraaid. Pas toen mijn relatie van toen op de klippen liep, heb ik dit nummer zo vaak gedraaid omdat het me zo raakte zo diep van binnen, het was mijn eerste grote liefdesverdriet.. en dat is een hel dat besefte ik me maar al te goed.Toen ik dat overleefd had dacht ik alleen maar dit nooit meer.. maar ja zoals zo vaak, zeg je dit nooit meer en dan sluipt er toch weer iemand in je hart.. en ja dan zeg je ja. dus dat is dan niet anders.. En vooral het zinnetje ik blijf tegen mezelf liegen ik mis je niet. geweldig..
